Roy Zazeraj

Independent Trustee and Chairman

Roy has over 35 years of senior-level experience in the financial sector, most of which has been in the area of employee benefits/retirement funding.

He is an experienced retirement fund trustee, serving on many different boards since 1990. Over the years, Roy has also been a member of various professional bodies in the areas of retirement funding, insurance and human resources. He is currently a member of the Pension Lawyers Association (PLA).

Academically, Roy has a BA, Hons B (B&A) and MBA, to which he has added a Higher Certificate in Insurance (HCiI) and a Diploma in Retirement Funding (DiRFM). Roy remains active as an independent trustee, including being Chairman of the Board of Trustees of four national umbrella funds and serving on the boards of industry (Bargaining Council) funds and Unclaimed Beneficiary Funds. He has also served as a Principal Officer and Former Member Representative (surplus distribution) and provides all levels of trustee training. Roy has researched and written, or co-written, numerous published articles on retirement fund governance, human resources, client service and other subjects.

In addition to the above Roy is active as a consultant, trainer, facilitator, author, lecturer and speaker. He is CEO of Artique Africa, a management and human resources consultancy - specialising in retirement fund services and the development of people.
